Splints - help

just put a deposit on a horse today, the lady selling her mentioned that shes got splints but theyre not up by the knee and she passed a stage 2 vetting, should i be worried about them?:confused:

If the vet wasnt bothered by them it should be fine, if young they may settle down after a while, if older and they are causing no problems ignore them.
I assume it is you that had the horse vetted and not the seller saying it had been done.

Splints rarely cause problems once formed. some cause no problems even when forming!If you want to show at county level then splints will affect this.

How old is the horse? There may be a chance the splint could re-absorb, some do, especially when they are still growing :)

Really wouldn't worry about them, most horses have them.
When I bought by boy at 5 he didn't have any but has since developed them. Never caused a problem even when forming.
