my little 11 month old colt came in lame today with what felt like a big splint on his front leg its something thats always been there but today it seems to have got bigger im a bit worries as hes only young going to keep him in for a few days and vet on monday any suggestions as to what it might be if not a splint as hes so young

You'll get a good response if you post in Breeding. FTR I also posted about splints on a yearling (only just a year old) and the general consensus is that juvenile splints are not uncommon and will just grow out. As he's lame though, I'd treat as with a splint on an older horse; cold hose and rest (if at all possible with a baby!
