Just need some advice please. Horse has developed a splint on his front cannon bone. Its not painful and no heat and is about the size of a broad bean. What would people recommend. he is used for showing so don't really want to use anything that may make it blister and scar. Would people recommend that I ride him with brushing boots? Any advice greatfully received.

tbh quite a lot of horses have splints (if they have done hard work or jumping) and it doesn't affect them in any way physically.

but seeing as you show...well you could ride in brushing boots to stop it catching/cutting/scarring/getting worse...but IMO i wouldn't bother...but thats just me =) im sure you'll get more replys on this anyways =D xxx
