Splints

Horse had 5 stage vetting flew threw vetting vets noted tiny splints on foreleg and wrote on no concern and horse sound and fit for purpose,

anybody else’s horse had splints and insurance did they put excusions on ?

Yes, my mare did, no exclusions put on as far as I’m aware. As long as splints settled and horse sound, don’t see any reason they would as they don’t tend to cause any problems once they’re formed. Congrats on the passed vetting ??

Yes I bought one with splints and nothing was excluded - they also never caused him an issue in the whole 12 years I owned him.

Yes SEIB excluded splints on a 4 year old when one was picked up during vetting. Never caused an issue and reabsorbed.

Both of my horses have splints which means showing at a high level is out of the question but seeing I don't do that anyway it isn't a problem. They're both sound and happy in their jobs.
