Hi there
I have a 6 year old miniature schnauzer and 10 month old cocker spaniel. Both female. Our spaniel has a very split personality when it comes to our MS. She will paw at her for play, but also, will growl and lunge attack her on a daily basis. This started at 6 months, and we put it down to puberty. We then used some techniques which stopped her for a while, but she has reverted back. She has just finished her first season.
Triggers seem to be if we are giving HER attention and our MS is in sight. She will growl and attack her as if to warn her away.
Other than this, she is a wonderful girl. But she has temper tantrums!!! We are not concerned this is "cocker rage" but, it can happen with no notice, and her heart rate goes up.
Any thoughts?
