So the last post on this was 4 years ago, so I’m hoping someone has had experience with this now.
My 7yr old warmblood, recently broken had just been diagnosed with spondylosis. He has had no clinical signs at all apart from being a little difficult to get on, but put that down to only being in work for 4 months...... my personal circumstances meant he was broken late!
so his diagnosis was incidental. The chiropractor was coming out to the yard and did I want him looked at. Yes, she found a tightness around his thoracic region and when manipulated he’d buck..... suspected kissing spine. So xrays happened yesterday, no impinging dorsal processes are all but early signs of spondylosis.
vet has recommended an injection of Osphos to increase his osteoclasts so speed up the fusion of his spine. Thoughts on this?
also, he has said with rehab and correct use of core muscles the spine should be supported enough for me to continue riding.
has anyone any thoughts/experience on this? There is next to no clinical studies online!
