Sponsorship

your sponsorship blog was very interesting

you're welcome! sometimes it can be worth considering smaller companies or places local to you but i think the important thing is to be creative, and also think about what benefit you could bring to a potential company. sadly there's no shortage of potential 'sponsorees' but quite a dearth of companies who will become the elusive official sponsor. that's why you have to make your offering interesting to a company.

sometimes companies will send you a freebie or something to acknowledge your request, even if they don't sponsor you, some are nice like that, so when you contact them, make it good!

FMM yes indeed

do you know Abbie from a different board? She contacted us and about 150 other companies. She got quite a few freebies back, we decided to go for it, from only being able to hack to shows last year, she's now aiming at HOYS qualifiers this season!

Archies_Mum it depends who they are, if they are local sometimes face-to-face is better, but then if you write a mean letter, then sometimes writing first paves the way. Being persistent (in a non-stalker/Manson way) helps, too.
