Is it normal for horses to buck after t hey have been spooked. Mine was spooked today by a prat on a dirt bike which resulted in a massive buck & me on the ground. One of my friends has said that she shouldn't buck if spooked & I should get her back checked. She has done this once before just bucked massively not spooked which resulted in me losing my confidence & not riding for ages.i feel she bucked coz she was scared but this comment from my friend has made me doubt myself. Opinions please :)

My boy pretty much always bucks when spooked, no idea why I just put it down to him being a plonker, it does feel like he is blaming me for not protecting him though lol

He doesn't buck unless spooked though and I know for sure there is nothing wrong with his back, saddle etc as we see the professionals all the time. I think some horses just respond that way.

It does have a upside after a while though and your seat improves massively so keep that in mind !!
