Over the last two weeks, taz has become more spooky than usual, usually he just has the odd spooks at things that he hasnt seen before, or when children are running round the country park, and wee things like that, but recently he's been rather head shy, spooking at logs that have always been there and galloping off backwards to get away, he spooked at another horse yesterday thats not at our yard, that was in its field and almost had my friend who was riding him off, and he spooked with me the day before hearing the horse neigh to him, not sure what has gotten into him, he's coming six and standing at 17hh is too big to be spooking at silly things all the time, and he spooks more in company!

I dont want to give him a calmer as i think that would completely make him drowsy and i dont want that, i like him being semi energetic, wanting to actually canter in fields rather than not being interested, he is also rather fit at the moment as we have had lots of nice weather, i just seem to wonder what he's going to do next, it doesnt put me off riding, but after yesterday its putting me off letting other people ride him so that i can ride my other pony at the same time. Feed wise, he's getting a handful of speedi beet half a scoop of hi fi lite, half scoop of cool mix and before comps etc gets oats added in just to liven him up, we currently have no grass so cant see it being that

Any tips would be much appreciated, now off to see what our hack today brings

I think you may be wrong about no grass, it is coming through and as you say you have had nice weather then its more than likely it has begun to come through...spring is here!!
I have known a few horses locally to me that in the last couple of weeks have been acting out of character, my firends normally v sane hunter dumped her the other week nearly breaking her back. So i have no tips other than he has maybe just got an extra spring in his step. Is he in at night and getting haylage/hay? If he is maybe cut down the amount of haylage or soak the hay see if that will take some out of him/
