Well, SpookyPony was right about them random ponds .. I have one at the gate to my field! It wasnt there last time I went to play!! I didn't want to go through it but Dels Mum made me :/ I got my legs very wet and muddy and was not happy! My Mum made it worse by insisting on dragging me back through the muddy pond to take me to my stable, this time I tried to jump the pond in one .. but I was unsuccesful and cue a very angry and very wet Mum (I thought it was funny though
) When I got back to my stable Dels Mum got Del from the field and we were tacked up and taken out
I decided to be on my best behaviour today even though I havent been ridden for a long time and havent been on the roads for even longer! Del was naughty though, he was a big scaredy cat and kept spinning round and waving at me! Luckily he doesnt try to kick me as I was so fascinated at how silly he was that I just stood there with him running into me (Mum kept trying to make me move, but I was too interested in Del to get out of the way!) Dels Mum managed to get him past the scary barriers and piles of snow, but he decided one big pile was very scary and refused to go past it. I decided to be brave and take the lead
but then realised this white stuff was indeed VERY scary .. so I stood still for a long time, Mum was patient with me at first but then she started kicking and eventually I (as SpookyPony did yesterday) also got my butt smacked
but I then decided that wasn't nice so decided to tell Mum off by taking a BIG leap past the white stuff and running off down the road
Then we came to another big pond! This one was very deep so I picked my legs up really high and really quickly so Mum had some fun bouncing around everywhere
Then we went for a nice canter up a footpath (which I found difficult cause I hadnt been ridden in a long time) and I had to jump them wooden plank things as my legs are too little to step over them .. cue Mum holding on very tight to try to stay on
We then had some more short steady canters, I wanted to go faster but Mum wouldnt let me
then we had more wooden plank thingys for me to jump over and a lot more big ponds! (Mum had fun trying to sit to my bouncy high trot today
) Further up the road a nasty dog was running in the bushes making a loud noise, Del got scared again and cantered off up the road, I was too scared to move and when Mum asked me again to walk on I decided to show off my trot half pass u the road
This was fun for me, although I dont think Mum felt the same. Annnyywayyy we eventually got home (after I decided a few times to scare Del by trotting up behind him and biting his butt which I got told off for, but it was fun all the same
) and Mum put me to bed. I was very happy to have gotten out of my dreaded stable, but I was very tired when I got back and couldnt wait to get to sleep.
