After getting back into riding after years out I need to start sorting out my riding attire. Best sports bra please for riding? Any recommendations for a 34D.

Thank you

Another vote for Panache. I have a non wired and underwired. I use them for jogging (using the racer back option) as well as riding. They're really comfortable.

Interested in this as I have Berlei horse riding bras now discontinued and they are coming to the end of their use. I prefer underwired.
I swapped to the Shift when my last horse riding one gave up the ghost.
the High Performance ones are pretty much identical to the horse riding one just in different colours.

Shock absorber every time for me. They recommend going up a band size and down a cup so, by that logic, a 36c would be a good fit for you. Check out their website for sizing tips and there is also a good Reddit thread around somewhere about sports bra sizing - a quick google will find it.

Thank you. I didn’t think about underwired but that makes sense as my others are.

Is there much difference between shock absorber?

I like the shape the panache underwired gives me. It looks like I’ve got a normal bra on, whereas shock absorbers and non wired bras give me a uni boob

??? I buy whatever proves to be comfy from TK Maxx from the sportswear section if I'm honest (I do the gym a lot and just use the ones I buy for the gym for riding as I do quite a bit of plyometrics training so lots of jumping around. If they can sustain that, they can sustain any riding). I go for as much shock absorption as possible - I've got a light/medium one from New Balance that I don't like. I'm really small and they all basically make me look flatter than a man but hey ho....nothing bounces around or anything so works for me.

Recently bought one from brand pour moi (from next website) and it’s great - supports as good as my shock absorbers (also recommend these) but is underwired so gives a nicer shape and is a good bit cheaper

I too use shock absorber. I was a novice adult hacker who liked to canter and was told to get a sports bra by the young RS escort with whom I rode for three or four years. Being entirely un athletic I had never heard of a sports bra. She also told me to put on face cream before hacking. Her father kept her supplied.
I still do exactly as she told me. Which is odd.

I always come onto these posts with a gentle nudge to make sure you know your true size, so many of us don't, and although sports bras are often sizes to compensate for the errors made (ie they run super tight in the band) it's better to know your correct size to begin with. Even with your correct size shape is more important than you realise, the underwired larger cup brand sports bras are too narrow and projected in the cup for me, yet work for lots of others and yes, do avoid the monoboob!

Most people express disbelief, and it's only a starting point (I take a smaller band and larger cup than recommended) but anyone who thinks they have big boobs in the range C-DD are especially recommended to check their sizing, as even a DD is only a 5% difference between ribcage and bust which is not that big:

Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra. I find I need to up a band size on them, though - I'm normally a 34FF but I go 36F for these. They aren't the most flattering but, frankly, I just want my tracts of land secured in place.

Enell. They've got more engineering than the forth bridge and flatten you to nothing (and I'm a 36 E) but nothing moves. This was the only bra I could run in, so riding is a breeze.
