I'm really keen to get my four year old to a couple of in-hand shows before we start doing scary ridden competitions. He's never been out before, so I'm aiming for something really low key. But I am so not into showing, and have never done it before. Can anyone tell me what the turnout would be for in-hand sports horse classes? Is it like hunter showing, or more like for dressage? Can he wear his blingy bridle, or do we need a very plain one? I read somewhere that only continental-bred horses were allowed to wear bridles with white padding, which seems odd. And what do I need to wear?!
