Had the vet out to my horse the other day cause he had some heat in his right hind leg & even though he was trotting up completely sound, I knew something wasnt right!
There is no swelling, he trotted him up & lunged him to see & there is definate heat in it but nothing else! He then did flexion test on it & he came up lame, so he said it was a sprained fetlock - weeks boxrest, 10 minutes inhand walking a day & no bute as he didnt want to mask the recovery & otherwise he is completely sound!
Anyone else have this before? He said if its not right next week, he will take xrays. But seems like its mild enough since there is no swelling or lameness? Right?? Or am I being very naive??
