Can anyone PLEEEAAASSEEE tell me what the spray is and where I can get it from. I believe it is just temporary if you need more grip. You spray it on your saddle each time you need it and I presume it wears off.

Has anyone used it , does it work, and does it affect the leather in any way?

Sit-tite spray .

Watch it if you want to do rising trot though as it apparently causes a rather embarrasing noise as you unstick from the saddle.

Just google Sit Tite Spray and several sites will come up.

Yes, Sit-tite, but as I'm always after cheaper alternatives, I used stencil spray from DIY stores.

No, it doesn't affect the leather but I can confirm the noise if you do rising trot!

I used to use it till I had a clinic with Hannah Moody - she advised just rubbing a saddle soap bar over the surfaces you need - I use the one in the orange box, Belvoir?? and it work's a treat and doesn't mark white jods - darn sight cheaper too

Whatever you use, it is best sprayed just on the flaps and on the inside leather of your boots, don't spray it on the seat unless you especially want that farting with every step effect

I've got some to help Toby stick to the saddle when he canters. I accidentally pulled him off his pony last week as I thought he was slipping so grabbed his leg to hold him on and instead of helping, I hurled him from the pony and did a pile driver with his head into the school, still holding onto his leg. He wasn't impressed and now refuses to canter his pony if I am anywhere near him.

So I have bought some of the sit tite stuff and was going to use it on the seat of the saddle. I'm not bothered about farting noises as he is a 6 year old boy and farts virtually every step anyway. However, I do need him to stick a bit better as he has slippy jods and a very slippy saddle.

Any advice?

Suede or suede-ish seat cover and sticky-bum jodhs would be my advice, unless Toby is especially devoted to his farty noises. I have a suede seat saver thingie and that combined with Clarino-seat jodhs stops me going anywhere !

i think the spray would work or I love my suede full chaps stick to any saddle like glue. But are a bit cumbersome so may not be any good.

My two are only just about to come off the lead rein at trot so canters a while off yet thankfully.

I've got some German stuff - can't remember what it's called, but it's very sticky.

Doesn't seem to harm the saddle, but scrubbing all the fluff and dead flies off it doesn't do it much good!

Defo better to put on your boots and saddle flaps rather than the seat as your jodhs do stick quite well, it soaks into your knickers and the whole thing feels rather odd!

It didn't really help my stickability. Fell off and got knocked out!
