I'll add the JW air ones to the mix. They are cheaper and I like the cheese grater tread bit for foot security , have them and sprengers and it's the former I use daily.
Rather depends on why you are looking for security. No stirrup will really help if your lower leg position isn't secure.
The sprengers are much better if you suffer from knee or ankle pain or for something where you might need the freedom to take less "classic" leg position like XC, hunting hunter trialling etc. The do come with a cheese grater option and I agree with FfionWinnie that the cheesgraters offer much better grip especially in the mud. Free jump are much lighter and the angle is supposed to help keep your lower leg positioned better - but only in the classic position. We found it more likely to loose them is you had to take safe seat XC - which of course defeats the point! But if you fall off and get smacked with a stirrup the freejumps are miles lighter.
I swapped my Bow Balance for Jins and find them much more comfortable. They are very light and the cheese grater tread is brilliant. I didn't realise you could get cheese grater treads for the bow balance till after I sold mine though. Free jumps would be lovely but they were out of my price range. Just to add, I did sell my Bow Balance for about the same price I paid for them and after several years of use, so they do sell on well if you changed your mind.
I swapped my bow balance stirrups for Freejumps, much better grip and my knee's and ankles do not get tired in them.
I didn't find any benefit to the bow balance and quite frankly thought they were a massive waste of money, I know others love them, I sold them to a lady on the yard and she says the have made a world of difference to her poor old joints (her words, not mine!)
