Hi had one on trial together with a NS trans lozenge eggbutt snaffle.
Preferred NS as it didn't look so bulky in my horses mouth, plus the sprenger was quite a lot heavier. Horse didnt go any better in the sprenger, so decided to go with the cheaper NS option.
Hope that's of some help
I use one regularly, I changed from the WH loose ring as my chap was being a bit chompy (is that a word??!), put him in the RS eggbutt with a drop and he goes really well in it. I thought he may lean due to the eggbutt but he doesn't at all, his mouth is still and he has a small amt of dribble, which is good for him as he's not that generous when it comes to a wet mouth......well worth the money IMO....but then I'm not a neue schule fan !!!
Hi, I know a quite a few people who use the NS, inc 3 of which teach/ride professionally, so use/see them being used a lot, never heard anything negative about them from anyone. That's not to say that things dont go wrong with them, but it's just not my experience.
I've got one and George goes really nicely in it, he can be a bit of a leaner (he is a big chunky shire x), but suprisingly doesn't lean too much in this. I did try a NS verbindend and hanging cheek before this and he really didn't get on with them and he made a feel mess of the mouthpieces as the metal is so soft.
I was lucky that I managed to get my sprenger off ebay for a really reasonable price
Just be aware of sizing, I wasn't aware of his, but my horse is normally a 5.5" bit, I was advised to go down a quarter of an inch for the RS eggbutt, something to do with he shape, the 5.25" fits him perfectly
