Do they really help your knees? Think I was riding a bit short, couldn't be bothered to change the stirrup leathers as they're ridiculously stiff synthetics. My knees were agony and after a big spook, the saddle was wonky, I tried to lean my weight into the left stirrup but my knee wouldn't co-operate and was agony. :( I could feel a ligament was catching. :(

So, do the sprenger flexis help your knees? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes!

They are amazing :D I have issues arising from schlatters disease as a kid/teenager and have had knee surgery. I swear by Sprengers now :)

Yes. I injured my knees and ankles in a skiing accident when I was a kid. The are the only stirrups I can jump and go XC in, otherwise my knees and ankles are agony.

Erm... not really.

i borrowed a friends pair for a month, i didnt really see much difference. I tend to get bacd ankles from getting tense on a hack but it really didnt help me at all.

Do you reckon these would be as good, rubbish, not worth it, the same?

Dangerous rubbish sorry. I know a couple of people who have had them snap out riding (one on the gallops) You can't check the condition of the stirrup under the plastic cover.

If you keep a check on eBay you may get lucky, mine were only £30 new, tagged :)

Yes they def help, and IMO sprengers are a lot better than some of the cheaper designs. I now use the bow balance ones, which I hunt all day in, I still have a sore ankle at the end of the day, well Achilles tendon, but in normal stirrups it's sore after an hours hack, and think its partly my spur as well. We're you looking to get the bow balance or the normal ones?

I'm not sure of the difference? I would like something that helps the Achilles, too, as I went through a phase of straining it and both parents have snapped theirs!

Having both I prefer bow balance ones. I hunt in mine too and nothing aches. But hack in normal stirrups and after an hour sore ankles. I am going to do some seriou hinting to OH for another pair of bow balances :)

I got some cheapo ones off ebay but they work just as well.

wouldn't consider riding (ESPECIALLY jumping!) in anything else now

Bow balance have a wider tread and sort of hang in the right place to put your foot back in should you loose one. It's is very hard to loose one thou :)
