Sprenger stirrups

Very good - comfortable - signif reduce any knee/ ankle pain also back pain as they have some give. Have also found it harder to loose one when horse does an unexpected spook or similar so I would say they have stopped me hitting deck on a couple of occassions!

Absolutely brilliant. I was dragged once by a stirrup as a child, with these that would be impossible. They are more comfortable and allow a better leg position I find. I do a lot of jumping and they are great for that.

Ive just had some Sprenger Bow Balance stirrups for x-mass.

Ive had them Firstly because i wanted some safety stirrups as i ride remedial horses that have had napping & rearing issues. Secondly i suffer pain in my lower back & i also suffer Athritis of the knee, i have so far ridden in them once. Found them strange at first but got used to them quickly, have to say my legs felt great after riding no twinges from my knee at all. But i don't always have pain problems after riding!!

Time will tell i suppose im not completely sold on them yet more riding needed in them first lol!!

I have a pair of the Bow Balance and a Pair of the normal Sprenger love them fantastic to ride in have saved me on a few spooks, and as i have knee problems they are great i am getting much less pain when i ride now

I have a pair of bow balance stirrup irons, you dont realise how comfy they really are until you have ridden in them and then use 'normal' stirrup irons, the normal ones feel horrible! i dread it when i have to change to conventional ones for showing!!

i love the bow balance ones because they have a wider surface area which is really comfy!

I've got a pair of sprenger and a similar cheapo pair and they're both great for eliminating the knee pain I get when I ride for any length of time. They don't feel any different from regular stirrups either.
Don't know about the bow balance ones, but they do look very interesting

My Sprengers have completely wiped out the (heading towards being crippling) knee pain I alwaygs got after riding. I wasn't sure about them to start with though, they feel weird. I still find the treads very ungrippy, taken me a while to learn to keep my feet in them (in retrospect maybe the Thorowgood ones would have been better with the cheese grater treads, but they're grey and I wanted black!!).
