Thank god, the long hard winter seems over!

My two have been out today in 16 degree heat with no rugs on for the first time, yay!! My mare at one point was lying down in the sun eating the grass around her!! They came in for 10 mins had their tea, got their light weight rugs on and back out for their first night out this year. I keep thinking about them bless them, hope they are ok not tucked up for the night in their cosy stables. Been willing this day for weeks now feel a bit guilty for leaving them out!!!! Im getting soft in my old age!!!

Isn't it great! I posted the same on Wednesday. Mine has middleweight NZ on at night and has been naked during the day for two days - he was quite hot without a rug when I got him in this afternoon, but he's quite hairy! His field is now lightly carpeted with hair where he has rolled so much! This weather is fantastic, it could stay like this all year for me. Horse keeping is so much easier, and so much cheaper!

Che had his first night out last night, popped a middle weight rug on but this morning at 7am he was plenty warm enough so tonight is in a lightweight! There is no mud in his gateway, lots of nice fresh grass and he is one very happy horse.

Well mine are in tonight for the last night, (only because i have given my boy a bath as we are off on a jolly tomorrow). They are going out tomorrow for the night and for the rest of the Spring/Summer, woo hoo

Mine too, out tonight for the first time since October, have put lightweight rugs on them as they have been rugged all winter and allthough loosing their winter woolies, don't want to give them too much of a shock in one day. Just hope the weather stays fair now untill at least the end of October!

First night for mine too! I loved seeing them naked today, grooming each other and getting rid of the winter fluff!

I considered it and then realised pony has killed his lightweight turnout :( SO they are in for one more night, will get to the shops tomorrow! :D
