Hi all,

My 6 year old gelding has been very calm up until we moved the heard into a new field... e.g. before I could canter and jump him without any problem and now he's turned into the complete oposite! When I canter him he bucks which isn't that much of a problem as I can handle that however as soon as we've gone over a jump the second he lands he shoves his head down and does rodeo! It's a nightmare! Has anyone got any advice on 'Spring grass' and horses? Does it make them go hyper and full of energy? Thanks

yep my lad goes crazy on spring grass at time.

it might be no harm to check its not pain related. Maybe the saddle is pinching when you land and its hurting him either - no harm to rule it out

We've had his back checked and all is fine :)
So I think it may be the grass as today he was brilliant and he's been off long grass for a while :)
