Can anyone recommend a lightweight but showerproof riding jacket for spring/summer? Would prefer it to not be fleece lined and not too bulky. All my jackets are big winter jackets but I do feel the cold so need something for this time of year. Preferably under £80. Thanks!

Take a look at the cycling stuff, mountain warehouse do some good hi vis cycling jackets, you could get a larger size and put a fleece under if you feel the cold

I like a softshell for this time of year. They're warm without being too hot, showerproof, offer bit of wind protection, and are easy to wear and wash. I often wear them just over a t-shirt on warmer but wet days as you don't get that sticky feeling on your arms that you can get with waterproof coats without a layer underneath. You can usually get one fairly cheaply from an outdoor type store.
Something like these (not necessarily recommending these, they were just the first ones that came up) : https://www.tog24.com/collections/womens-softshell-jackets?sv_tax1=Google&sv_tax2=Generic&sv_tax3=DynamicSearch | All Products&sv_tax4=-b&sv_campaign_id=9241609856&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxsfx27uj8AIVhfhRCh25hwPHEAAYASAAEgJqq_D_BwE

I had the same problem last week. Problem is that the latest slim line jackets are not so easy to wear over a bp. These look good.

Same here, I have a couple from the Regatta Outlet for about a tenner each; do the job well, look presentable and easy to wash. Bargain!

I have a trespass softshell for this time of year, it's soft of waffle lined? Does the job nicely and was about £50 IIRC.
