Are they the best? Or are any of the cheaper versions around as good?

I've got an unbranded pair i bought off ebay for 18.99 and i LOVE them i had bent irons before and they didn't do me any favours. These little puppies

are superb for my aging joints and are really easy to find if you lose one when you're riding.
I found this advice for unbranded ones on this forum, i can't remember who it was but if you're reading this, thank you.
To be honest though i couldn't compare them to the Springers cos i've never had any but when i can afford them i think i will buy a pair cos i know i love the flexi stirrup.

I did faint at the cost but they are fab. i've only ridden in them a few times but the difference on my old knackered knees was amazing.
As noted Hovis is less than impressed!

Edited to say I do know they're not called springers!!

I've never tried the Sprenger ones but have a much cheaper version, Shires I think that cost about £15, they have springs in with rubber round them, they are great in my opinion. Very comfy to ride in, and I've had them about 4 years now I think, and I ride a lot so they stand up to a lot of use!

I have the Springers - are very good - 3 hour hack in them yesterday and not even a twinge in my knackered ankle - a short hack (about 40 mins) in regular irons and my ankle is agony!! Worth every penny - I am slowly changing all the irons on my saddles to them!!

I got my 'cheap' on ebay as someone had bought the wrong size!!
