Beautiful, he looked so safe in his jumping. What a feeling that must have been for BG.
I thought Zara looked very smart as well !
 
He has now been rated 188, Kauto Star at his best was 190, He could well be a super star but and Im not being churlish just realistic his new rating is because he beat Sizing Europe but Sizing Europe is now 11 and horses tend to get slower as they get older. He may well have beaten SE at his best but we will never know, horses can only beat what is in front of them and he has certainly done that. I do think he is a bit special and loved his performance today but just wish he had a real test but 2milers do seem to be thin on the ground atm.
 
It would be interesting to pit him against Moscow Flyer, Master Minded and Arkle. All out and out champions of their day but when push came to shove who would fold first?

I do agree, there really is nothing to challenge him at the moment and from what I have seen of the races so far at the Festival I think he may have a couple more unchallenged years ahead of him.
 
Absoloutely awe-inspiring. I worked it out (didn't take long), 8 wins, won by a total of 114 lengths...pure class!

Whip wasn't deployed once, and cantered over the line. Breathtaking!!

Also, what a beast to look at, picture perfect. Didn't enjoy having his nether regions drenched in cold water in the stable afterwards did he haha? Anyone else see him giving a friendly warning?
 
What a machine! I was SO pleased he won! Barry G rode the perfect race ( which is more than can be said for Boston Bob's jockey...)
 
He was amazing, so assured & fluent at his fences. But he doesn't make my heart race. True he can only beat what's in front of him. We've been spoilt over the years with some wonderful 2 milers who've battled each other race after race. Who will SS battle with?
 
I think I saw a different race! I saw him in the flesh going down to the start and he is beautiful. No offence to racehorse lovers but often confirmation is not as good as it should be but he is really well put together so fingers crossed he will be around for a long time.

He was running easily all the way round but a couple of fences out he seemed to lose his rhythm and stride, having been cruising the rest of the way. I actually thought it was a credit to the horse that he picked himself up and won.

Very grateful to have seen him run. That really is a horse who looks like he could have done a number of different jobs easily. I also think he is bigger than 16.3 when he went past me but he was full of himself..talk about knowing you are a superstar!
 
Beautiful horse and incredible jumper. Watched him canter home on Wednesday ..barely sweating and was totally full of it before the race. First spotted him a year ago when he won the Arkle chase and was immediately smitten. Long may he run.
