has anyone been to an spss mare grading or is anyone going any advice appreciated trying to decide wether to go or whther to leave it till next yr

I did think about trying it with Twiggy this year but have decided it might be better if we do it next year when she has a foal at foot so that they can see what she can produce.
I've a good mind to go and watch though and see how it's all managed for next year!

I had wanted to take Candlelite and Bunty but I'm not prepared to travel them 5 1/2 hrs each way.
It's such a shame they didn't have one nearer to us.

thats what i fort but its central apparently its shame they cant have regional grading

took mine last year with foal at foot and she passed. Four year old and never been off my place where she was bred.
I didn't go overnight but I did book a 'day stable' for her and the foal.
there have been regular 'nags' about the venue being only at Heart of England as it is a long journey for anyone in the south.
However despite the nags there is no sign of any other southern venue or grading appearing any time soon - so if it's at HoE this year - assume it'll be there next year.
