Has anyone any ideas how I can cover up the spur rest so it does not rub my horses sides.

Even though I make sure my toes are pointing in, the spur rests still rub the sides and its making bald patches and after a long hack the skin looks a bit pink.

I have though of filing it down but dont want to ruin the boots. Also thought about putting a plaster over the top but think it may leave sticky stuff that wont come off!!

Does anyone have ant other ideas?

depends if you use the spur rest or not? But if you find it isn't necessary then you could just cut it off flush with the boot with a very sharp knife? Should still look tidy and hardly noticable.

No, I dont use the spur rest most of the time but sometimes when we compete.

Not sure what to do, I suppose the spur rest on the other side of the boot should still support the spur if I did take the inside one off.

Also, it feels like its a metal spur rest so not sure how easy to get off!!

ah, a metal one would be more of a prob! thought it might be one of those rubber ones. I'm afraid that leaves me stuck for ideas
