Spurs or Dummy spurs - what classes?

Hello folks,

I was wondering what showing classes would require spurs or dummy spurs?

I was thinking yes for Hunter type classes but wasn't sure about other showing classes. Any help much appreciated

Also should you use brown or black straps or does it not matter?

For hacks, ridden hunters and ridden horse classes, spurs or dummy spurs should be worn, not too sure about other classes sorry. Black leather spur straps look better than brown as they blend in with leather long boots

I'm doing small hunter and small riding horse at a show this weekend so I wil put them on for that.

Also doing RC Small Horse and veteran but will probably leave them off unless everyone else is wearing them (Baaa!).
