I don't wear or need spurs or a whip on PF or Antifaz, but the horses I'm exercising at the moment are ridden in spurs all the time by their respective owners (all experienced riders in case anyone is wondering).
My legs are KILLING me, I'm working so hard, although I've now dusted off my schooling whip and this is helping and they're all quicker off the leg now.
So, my thoughts are am I wrong NOT to wear spurs since this is what they're used to and will be ridden in by their owners, or do you think it's OK to persist with my schooling whip?
I have ridden in spurs before, so that's not a problem, but I've not personally had the need to before.
Instructor hasn't said anything yet, but I know he is an advocate of spurs used correctly.
