What are the kindest spurs to use? My mare can be a little unresponsive to my leg and rather than having to constantly nag her with my leg all the time I decided to give her a try in spurs and what a difference! I hardly have to use my leg at all and she responds to a light touch which must be nicer for her. But the spurs I've got are quite long and proddy and I think she'd go better in shorter ones certainly but what is the difference between all the different types? I want some that will give a more defined leg aid without being too severe. Any recommendations? Sorry - never had to use spurs before so fairly clueless.

They sound exactly what I need. Thank you.

ooohhhhh than you guys - have the same problem with large H have to nag nag nag, hate it, might give them a go0, they look quite tame incase you accidentally use them when not meant to !!! like you have never used spurs !
