Squeaky saddle/boots

Today my daughter competed and her saddle and boots were squeaking when rubbing together. I haven't noticed this before but it was really loud. Any advice

Someone on here recommended loads of saddle soap between boot and saddle, which worked, sort of, for me once. My sympathies, my boots are so loud and squeaky it annoys the horse!

Oh I know how that feels!
I brought a new dressage saddle back in December and it still squeaks - I'm used to it now I don't notice until someone tells me!!

I was worried that the judge would think the horse was grinding because that was the sort of noise.
