Squeaky saddle- what's wrong with it?

I bought a new close contact saddle last November from my local tack shop and have used it less than 50 times (maybe even less than 40) over the year as I ride side saddle 99% of the time. I only use my astride saddle if I need to work out a schooling issue and need an extra leg (today it was leg yielding), my side saddle is at the saddlers, or if I'm going on a hack and know that I'll need to get off.

We schooled for about an hour and everything was fine, then after practising leg yielding, picked up sitting trot to go into canter and my saddle started making as high pitched squeaking sound like a mouse. It did not do this in walk or leg yielding, only during sitting and rising trot and got even more high pitched and squeakier during canter. The leather is still new on the saddle and makes that creaky new leather sound but this is a different sound which seems like it's coming from inside the saddle somewhere and only on the off-side. I even took my legs off of the saddle to see if it wasn't just the leather squeaking but it still made the noise.

I called my saddler and left a message but if it's the tree, can it be fixed? I've never dropped my saddle and neither has anyone else as it's locked up in the tack room. I can't take it back to the tack shop as it's gone.

It doesn't have any brand stamps on it at all and was told by the tack shop owner that it was a prototype model made by Barnsby for trade shows, etc in Europe. This tack shop often sold oddments, display models, etc from Barnsby until they closed this summer due to retirement.

I find it amazing that my side saddles made in 1898 and the 1930's can last all this time with heavy hunting action but a saddle less than a year old and hardly used, is knackered!!

Another saddler will fix it for you.
Although you may have to pay, but then if it's an unbranded prototype only to be expected really as would have been significantly cheaper to start with (sorry missed the last bit of your OP)

No, this is a different kind of squeaking- higher pitched kind of like a mouse or something metal like a squeaky door hinge and it's coming from inside the saddle when I ride. At first I did think it was the leather so trotted around with my legs up and off the saddle but it still squeaked- the squeaking when with the motion of Hattie's gait and got faster and even more high pitched during canter.

I tested the tree afterwards but nothing moves on the saddle or makes a noise.
