I have an 11 year old qh mare, I have owned her for 4 years and she has never been a marish mare until now! Last year we went out and about a bit as and when we could and she was fine.
She lives with another mare and a gelding and no other horses but I ride out with a friend from down the road, previously always on her older gelding but recently she's been doing ride and lead with her youngster. She occasionally brings the youngster up and we ride in our school together too, which has always been fine. In the few weeks however we have attended 2 clinics together and at both of these she has violently squealed and lashed out with absolutely no warning and he wasn't even near her everytime! We are due to attend another clinic next weekend but am seriously considering not going, she gives no warning and it has really knocked my confidence as she she jumps and spins when she does it ? I did start her on NAF Oestress but only about 3 weeks ago and have it can take a while to kick in but can't understand why she is fine at home and only does it when we are away??
