I am planning to do some SSDL veteran classes this year. They are strict about the products allowed to be used so no oil based products.

Can anyone recommend any coat shine/mane & tail spray that doesn't contain oil?

Yes - don't bother! Not with the classes but with any gloss products and the like! There's no point! Yes people will still use stuff but I suspect after the fiasco at Olympia last year they may actually check more thoroughly at the first stage so it can be stamped out by the final.

A good hot cloth with a touch of Dettol a couple of days before will bring out the horses natural shine.
