As you can see I consider my horse to have high withers but her back is straight - not a flattering picture I might add she is much prettier in real life!

he is 13 this year, but to me has always looked as he does...when you ride its BIG withers not dipped back but then someone mentioned it and then it got me questioning because i have never questioned it, your horse without being ride to me has high withers and a straight back coupled
 
stragt back and coupled i would say makes the best jumpers...it wasnt a bad remark againt you horse who i think is stunning, bu i i have found the "longer" horse struggle in comps

straight back as in level backed and coupled as in the rump
