stable bandage advice please

My lad is having his hinds bandaged at night as he is being treated for mud fever at the moment.

The problem is that he is pulling the gamgee out from under the bandages every night and chewing them to pieces.

I have been shown how to do them and the first time i did them he left them on. Im just wondering if im putting the bandages on to loosly or maybe not bandaging far enough down?

Any help/tips on stable bandages would be super

. He has bandages on to school and i can do them without a problem, i just find the stable ones a handfull. He also has to have cling film on under them and that is easier said than done.

how about stable boots instead? I have some JHL ones which are fantastic. Stop my boys legs filling up, lovely and warm and saves so much time. Links below

I guess I would try to bandage right down to the bootm of the gamgee, so none was left sticking out for him to grab. Hopefully this would stop him.

I have been taught to do stable bandages today

Have ordered some of these to try her legs after hosing. Other horses on the yard use them, they are good for mud fever prevention
