stable door pipes!!

Sorry, dont really know what they are called, but i really want one for the winter. You know what they are right? those chained pipes that go from side to side so that the stable door can beleft open? well, the thing is,

i have'nt got any thing to atach them to?!?! do they come with special metal clips that you screw into the wall?
please tell me how they work?!?!

A stable guard ... You put tie rings on the door and they clip to each side lol but make sure when you do it that it isn't in the way of the door closing.

I dont think they come with the metal fixings which are like a plate with a metal loop at right angles, but you can get them from some saddlery places or from DIY store or Screwfix direct.

You use a spring clip (like on a headcollar but bigger) to fasten the plastic coated chain to each end.

But if you have big beefy horse he will break 1 a week of those, rather defeating the object! So I use a carabina mountaineering clip from a camping shop, much better and stronger! Weird name but they will know what you mean! Its shaped like an O and has a bit that folds in on the long side, and once you put the chain through and the bit is folded back you can then screw it tight shut. If it keeps climbers on crags it keeps my boy in!

Well it depends on the stable but I put in in the door frame(mine doesn't get in the way of the door) N nope havent got a put sorry.

Wall Fixing Snap Hook Single- it has it on the same page it's like a tie ring but with a leadrope clip instead.
