Daisy moved stables a few days ago because she had a new neighbour in the stable next door and she was rearing in the stable trying to kill him through the bars. We moved her to a solid stable away from the main yard and up till now she seems much happier in there, no-one to attack, has stopped box walking and is generally more sedate. Only problem is that the stable door is quite low. For some reason in this stable she waves her head up and down when she knows she is going to be fed as I bring the feed across. She's never done it before, but the headwaving and the low door means that she has banged her head on the top of the door frame at least once. Tonight she really did not want to go into her stable. Once she was in she was really happy and settled down to her hay so I'm assuming its the doorway that she was worried about.

Would you pad the top of the door with something? Will she stop flapping her head about if it scared her?

I can't think why else she would suddenly be funny about going in the door
