Hi there, I am looking for some advice.

I was wondering what type of stable mats you use. What thickness of mats would you recommend and do you use the ones that join together like a jigsaw or just the square mats.

Any makes that you would also recommend

Many thanks

EVA mats, which are foam not rubber so warmer and lighter, for me.
Mine are Mayomats cowmats, that I bought direct, but Robinsons stocks them.
They're straight-edged. Easy to trim to size with a jigsaw.
I've had them down for about 3 1/2 years and they're unmarked, they're very durable.

I have one with he traditional heavy rubber mats, not sure what thickness they are but they are what I would call "standard"! I bought them from the previous occupant of the stable so they have been down at least 5 years, they are wearing well, I do have a full bed on top though. The other boy is on EVA Equimats, the green puzzle edged ones. They were left by a previous livery so I claimed them before someone new moved into the stable, she had aquired them from the previous occupent as well and they are about 7 years old, they have got pretty slippery on the surface when wet now, much worse than the rubber mats which still have quite good grip.

Hi Kerilli,
I have just one stable with the cowmats (rest are rubber but I don't like it), do you find the cowmats slippery?
