Hi,

Thinking of getting a stable mirror for our pony. We have had her since June and just starting stabling her this week and she is trashing her bed every night by box walking, having to look over the door.
She is very friendly with her field companions.

Has anyone had experiences with mirrors in stables

Good or Bad?

I got mine off e-bay and my girl leave her hay at times to just look at herself......................but she is beautiful, so who could blame her!!!

Go for it - my box walking mare loves hers. I call it her imaginary friend and she blows kisses/gurns at it depending on her mood. She always stands now at that end of her stable right against the mirror.

Very dominant horses may see the mirror as a threat, but all other horses I have heard of have enjoyed theirs.

Yep, Merlin love his too..... he even stands next to it when he is sedated for his wonky leg problems

And just to prove that he can see in it usually....... (and no, he doesnt mind sharing the haynet.... he says the other horse only eats the same as him)!!!
