I am really considering getting a stable mirror for Alisha as she gets so worked up when she is on her own. As soon as Jiggy or the horse on the other side come in she is more than happy and settles down to eat her hay but while she is on her own she just fly's round her stable, whinnying as loud as possible and generally working herself up. Anyone had any good/bad experiences of mirrors in stables? Also, does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced one from?

I have had mirrors up in Flynns stable for over 3 years. I wanted them as a In Case he was ever injured or ill and had to be box rested. I saw them as a proactive thing to do. He often is seen standing at the side of it. I also know another livery put one in when his horse got injured. Now I was in a yard where every horse bar mine and the other livery with a mirror, either kicked doors kicked walls, bite, weaved, cribbed, or scraped the floor.
I cant say the mirror stopped it but it seemed to make sense. I also have one in my trailer for when we travel. he used to shout for a while as we set off. That stopped same times as mirror went in.

I read the research published and too much was positive to dismiss it.
I got my mirrors local from glass merchant but they are Acrylic.
My friend also has them in both of her stables and they came from Stable Mirrors that you will find on Ebay. Useful as well they give you the fitting instructions and position of them.
