Stable Mirrors...

I bought one for my pony because he stressed when I went out hacking and left him home alone ( i have 2 and he is a companion ). A friend suggested it might help so I decided as they are not too expensive it was worth a try. It doesn't keep him completely settled but it has helped. He always stands with his head next to it when he is stressed eg when left alone, with fireworks, building work noises etc. and even chatters to it which is quiet sweet :) I think if they spend long hours in a stable it definitely helps to keep them calm and helps to relieve boredom by admiring themselves! all in all worth the money I think

had always wondered if they were much help!

Tom would be our best candidate as he's a classic separation anxiety case - but he takes no notice of mirrors in schools.

Ron is fine on his own, but sees his reflection in a school and spend the whole time calling out to his reflection, and I nearly fall off laughing... he clearly thinks he's the hottest thing since something very hot! :D

My boy loves his! He hates being away from my mare so when he injured himself and had to be on three months box rest anything was worth a go to keep him from bouncing up and down on his bad leg! He was scared of it at first but I would say he calmed down about 90% enough that I could turn her out without having to get her in fifteen minutes later!!although he still had a full grill up just in case!
