Hello

I've been struggling for a few months now to come up with an 'everyday' name for my new mare, her real name is Fairfields Clementine... But it's not really a name you can shout across the fields.

I wonder if you can help me? Anyone got any better ideas...

So far the little boy who lives on the livery yard calls her Lemon.. she wasn't impressed

So what do you think?
Here's two piccies of her...

Her little colt is attempting to take her away from the camera... he loves being centre of attention...

He's called Orion....
And the ultimate question...
what breed do you think she is... ( couldn't help it, lol...)

Thanks...

No.. She's only 5... her history is a bit hazy, the guy we brought her from had only had her a month. And the foals father is a complete mystery...

Clem was one of my friends sugestions... problem is it reminds me of phlem...

I'm looking for that perfect name for her, nothing seems to stick if you know what I mean... Orions name suits him... and as soon as we came up with it we knew it was for him.. though my mom did want to call him Newton.. she was adamant it was going to make him brainier.... or maybe discover that apples do drop from trees, and their tasty too?
We've tried Faith... Lemon... (yes we gave it a go...

) Chloe... Tina... I don't think I'm imaginative enough...

To my mind she's got Cleveland Bay written all over her!! She's stunning!!

I too think that Clemmie is a lovely name for her! Though is her colt is Orion, then she could be Astra, Asti or some other star constellation sounding name........

No.. not a joke, you lot all just guessed too quick, lol...

Yes she's 3/4 CB

Her mother TbxID X Littlebeck Cavalier
And her fathers Laughton Saladin....

She looks so much like her sire and damsire... a heavier CB than your stinkerstonker, and she's still growing, the foals father is a mystery though... apparently one possibility is a gypsy cob... But I don't think so... he's too fine and isn't showing any feather...

Stella? I thought CB too, used to keep my ponies at a Cleveland Stud and she reminds me so much of them. (for SSM, does Fisherman ring a bell?) Nice pair.
