Stable rug repair kits?

I know you can get turnout rug repair kits but does anybody know if there is a kit to repair stable rugs? Its an amigo insulator rug (shiny nylon type material) with a few tears in it and I dont think it's going to sew up very well so any ideas how we could fix it?

Keep old rugs for repairss.
A good descent swing machine does it if you take your time. I hand sew the ripped lining first and patch with silky material. Then I use waterproof material to patch with the machine on the outside. You can buy the material by the yard if you think you are going to need it.
I always thought my repairs were OK but having seen some professional repairs on a rug returned to me last month I think mine were much better and waterproof.
