Our new horse is a looooonnnnnggg boy and needs a heavyweight stable rug for the winter. I've tried Fals and Masta on him and the necks on both are too short, ie not close enough to his ears. The only thing that looks long enough is a Premier Equine and even that is a little short.

Does anyone else have the same problem and what rug would you suggest?

I have a rhinegold kentucky rug that fits my tb who has a ridic long neck - best bit is found it on e bay and it was £12.99 inc postage and packing . It was through an e bay shop will try and dig the name out .

Hi, Why don't you try a Weatherbeeta Belmont combo, they are generous in size and fit my boy fine, comes right up the neck and he's fairly big. Also, not too badly priced and last really well, has done 3 winters n still fine for next ! If you google Belmont Combo you will get lots if info.

Mine has got a Shires Snug Combo (I think that's what it is, certainly Shires anyway!). It actually comes over his ears!!! I usually have probs with length of anything with a neck with him, but this is fab!
