hey guys sorry last post about rugs! i dont know wether to buy a stable rug or not! or to use the t/o rug in the stable? cos in effect would mean she needs 6 rugs! thanks
Me tooI love horse clothes shopping - more than buying clothes for myself!!
I Prefer having stable rugs, turns outs would be fine but i always think what if they come in from the field wet and cold under the rug, its nicer for them to have something dry and cosy to wear IMO anywayx
....As a side note if you do decide to get stable rugs two of the best value for money rugs I have are belmont combos. Mine have gone through 3 and 4 hard winters of use now and aside from one needing minor stitching they are still going strong. They do come up HUGE though so buy a size down! I wont buy any more as Im hoping to eventually swap all my rugs to PE ones, but they are great rugs
.
Interesting thread but as far as I can see no-one has made the comment pro-stable rugs that changing them means the rug you take off can "air". I certainly would not want a horse in the same rug all the time. Would you wear the same clothes night and day for weeks? Yuck. I have been guilty of leaving a wet T/O on overnight so it can dry but I also have spare rugs so that I don't have to put a still-wet one back on in the morning but then I'm a bit anal about clean kit and wash stuff all the time as I can't bear kit smelling "horsey"!!
