Due to a c*ck up by builders the cement slab for our new stables is slightly shorter than it should be (grrrh). We wanted to build 3 boxes at 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 but the options now are;

1. 3 boxes at 3.5 x 3.25

2. 1 box at 3.5 x 3.5 and 2 at 3.5 x 3.15

3. 2 boxes at 3.5 x 3.5 and 1 at 3.5 x 2.75 (to be extended at a later date)

We've got 2 horses at present, one 16.2 and one 15.1 - the third box will be a tack/feed room until we get horse no. 3 (no plans to but then again a year ago there were no plans to buy one horse :D ).

Thoughts? Thanks!

My stable is 12x12 which would be 3.65 x 3.65 and I have a 17hh in there with ample room..

I'm sure 3.5 x 3.25 would be enough room for your horses :) I would have them all the same size so that they matched! Unless you are planning on buying a HUGE horse!! :D

The third option sounds best with the smaller box used as the feed room (put up shelving to save space).
