Stable size

Hi, I am unsure as to what size stable my horse is currently in but I'm looking at putting stables up for him at a different field and was wondering what size people thought was about right for him?

He is a 16.3hh ID (In a 7ft rug if that helps at all) and I was wondering if the normal 12x12 would be enough or do I need a bigger one?

Not into big horses myself but we have 16.2 in a 12x12 and now he is in a 14 x 15, I would say the lower size upwards
