Stable top doors - suggestions please

With this eternal wind I am really struggling to keep my stable top doors open. I have the usual cabin hooks but they bounce off & I am fed up with wire & string as they keep wearing through & are a complete nuisance when you actually need to shut the doors.

I have tried a clip but then they are slightly loose & bang back & forth even worse. I need something rigid............ Any bright ideas out there?

Baler twine, it takes a lot of weather to get that worn through or undone! I use it and we are in the Cairngorms.

I have plastic door retainers for the top doors - similar to this

You could use a lead rope clip and a small padlock or rope clip (the U shape that go through a keeper with a nut on the end of each U).

You could even use the quick release lead rope clips?
