My horses need his hind legs wrapped at night and we have changed the turnout rota at our yard which means I do mornings. The YO is bringing in and I dont want to hassle her with putting stable bandages on his legs. I feel I could ask her to pop two boots/velcro wraps on so can anyone recommend a good make. I would need to get a L/XL size. Thanks

Cordura covered thermatex are great. Equilibrium do more shaped ones, but I found they need to really fit. Whereas the thermatex are quick and easy to fit. :)

Are the legs wrapped for warmth/protection or for support?

thermatex/thermalux/polypads/equilibrium would all be great if just for warmth/light protection.

If you need the support that bandages provide then the veredus stable boots would be best although they are pricey!

If its for drying the legs to prevent mud fever then the thermatex are best.

I have the polypad ones which are really good but if you dont get them on properly they do have a tendency to come off, but they do a really good job of drying legs off

The Back On Track boots are very good if you need the wraps for a specific reason or just to keep the legs warm- they are really good, the larger size seems to fit my 16.2 fine.

The Thermatex leg wraps are very good if you need a wrap for drying legs off, I have them in Full size and they do seem to come up fairly big in sizing.

Also Premier Equine's wraps look nice as well, so quite a few to choose from!

For support I would always go with bandages, it really doesn't take that long (I have to do all four legs! ) and they're the best thing I've found. Neither of my YO have minded doing them so I would just check with the YO and keep using bandages if they're working :D Appologies, probably not that helpful, but just my experience!
