hi, got Wooley in during the day out at night, although he comes in very early at dawn especially if sign of frost. I know you are not advised to put him out in frost( lami 2004 big time) Is on very little grass. Do you think this is a sensible management or should I opt to in at night, out for few hours i the day to avoid the sun's effect on the grass sugars. he is lovely and slim, seems fine and I hope lami free.

If he is doing OK on this arrangement I would stick with it - I've also heard that it is better to turn horses susceptible to lami out at night instead of the day.

Yes, just keep monitoring is weight with a weigh tape every week...that's what I do with mine and he is either okay or comes in for a bit more hay!

Thaks for replying. Today is a perfectly lovely day and he is inside. Better safe than sorry. He will go out later on. The grass will be full of sugars in the warm spring sun. The evenings are safer.
