Stabling around Darlington

Hey there, this is my first post and I'm hoping that some people can help me out with this. I have recently got a new job in Darlington (yay) so my horse and I will have to move into this area. Can anybody reccommend a good yard (or a couple) around Darlington? Also on a slightly more human note, can anybody reccommend any of the villages around there to live in?!

Hi there, welcome to the board and to County Durham. My mare is stabled at the North end of the County and I don't know yards around Darlington, but that might put you within travelling distance of Richmond Equestrian Centre. Its a fab place from what I have seen of it at competitions. Too far away for me unfortunately.

Brookside livery stables are in High Coniscliffe, just a couple of miles from Darlington centre, there are plenty of villages in the area close to the stables

I am just half a mile or so down the road.
